Georgia CEUs are available for all termite training courses!
Pest Management University, is pleased to announce the following 4 Termite Training classes:
- Termite Training Basics
- Foundations of Termite Management
- Master Termite Training Class
- WDO Inspections and Form 13645
- The Termite Training Basics course is a great introduction to termites for new technicians, sales staff, and front office personnel.
- Classes will be taught by UF/IFAS, DACS, and leaders in the pest management industry who understand that increased professionalism and skill lead to increased profits and reduced customer conflict.
- Each class will begin at 8:00 AM. Please see the FAQ page for more information including dress code and smoking policy.

TERMITE TRAINING COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
Termite Training Basics: This one-day class is geared for the new technician, sales or office staff. We cover the general Florida Statute 482 requirements for technicians and sales staff. Learn the basic termite biology and behavior in the context of structural infestations. We also go outside to determine slab types and common ways termites enter structures as well as methods for treatment.

Foundations of Termite Management: Want to practice doing a DACS vehicle inspection and spill drill with Paul Mitola from DACS before a crisis occurs? Hear about the top 10 reasons technicians get in trouble and how to avoid them from Mark Ruff, industry attorney. How about learning over 50 building construction elements, hands-on, in 2-days instead of 2 years? We discuss how termites exploit the building construction elements and how to treat them. Get more in-depth information on termite biology and behavior as well as product label navigation.

Master Termite Training Course: Hear about the top 10 reasons that certified operators get in trouble and how to avoid them from Mark Ruff, industry attorney. Learn about borate treatments, baits and how termiticides work in this class. We review termite biology and discuss beetles and wood-decay fungi. Find out what DACS is looking for on a properly filled out 13645 and why this inspection is different than an annual renewal inspection. Play with the Bayer University termite toys and more!

WDO Inspections and Form 13645: The new WDO 13645 form took effect on April 1, 2009. Register for PMUs WDO Inspection and Form 13645 training, lead by Paul Mitola from DACS. Industry attorney Mark Ruff will also teach a two-hour session on the legal ramifications of an incomplete WDOI, using case studies and a mock trial video. If you haven't had any training on the new form but are still doing WDOs, this is a "must have" class. Any training you received from your company or associations will be reinforced by learning to fill out the form in an interactive, hands-on way at the training facility built by the Florida pest management industry for the pest management industry!
