Paul Mitola started in the pest control industry in 1979 as a technician. He owned his own business for 10 years, managed branches for large companies, worked in the pest control auxillary at the University of Florida before become a Florida DACS inspector; a position he has been in for the last 10 years.

Mark H. Ruff was in the U.S. Navy (Propulsion Engineering,1976-1986) before earning his law degree from Stetson University College of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1995). He was admitted to the Florida bar in 1995. He is a Certified Circuit Court Mediator and Florida Supreme Court Arbitrator. Faith M. Oi, Ph.D., Director of Pest Management University, earned her degrees from the University of Hawaii (Manoa) where she was introduced to termites as an undergraduate and the University of Florida where her degree focused on termite biology and behavior. She is currently the director for Pest Management University and Florida’s Statewide School IPM program. She also directs graduate students and works closely with industry on research designed to solve pest problems important to Florida.
